Your Condition Is Not Your Conclusion
Mark 10 v. 46-52 (NKJV)

46 Now they came to Jericho. As He went out of Jericho with His disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the road begging. 47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” 48 Then many warned him to be quiet; but he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” 49 So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called. Then they called the blind man, saying to him, “Be of good cheer. Rise, He is calling you.” 50 And throwing aside his garment, he rose and came to Jesus. 51 So Jesus answered and said to him, “What do you want Me to do for you?” The blind man said to Him, “Rabboni, that I may receive my sight.” 52 Then Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road.

Bartimaeus teaches us that even though he was blind, we cannot just sit in our condition. Every day we have an opportunity to be heard by Jesus if we would only open our hearts, our minds and our mouths.

Jesus is waiting to bring our condition to a conclusion, however; we must ask Him to do so. Just the mere words of Bartimaeus saying “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me” got the attention of Jesus.

Sometimes our condition is all that we can focus on. If we just will trust Jesus enough to get up from where we are and stop focusing on the condition we have or the condition we are in, we can be sure that there is one who can bring our condition to a conclusion.

In that moment and for the rest of our lives we will experience the peace that Isaiah 26 v. 3 speaks of. He says “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee”. There is nothing too hard for Jesus. If you have a condition today, just know that Jesus is able and He is working on your conclusion.
