GOD’S SECURITY FOR THE INSECURE [PART I]

24 Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, 25 to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.

Jude 24, 25 English Standard Version

There is a popular show on HBO called INSECURE. This show features Issa Rae and Molly. What is interesting about this show is the Molly character. On the surface, she looks like she has it going on. In spite of her successful legal career as an admirable lawyer publicly, she has internal issues that show up in her relationships privately. In other words, Molly is a public SUCCESS and at the same time A HOT MESS. This is all because of her internal insecurities.

Many of us in life, an amount of public success but private failures because of our insecurities. Many have issues that stem from childhood and show up in their adulthood based on fear that feed their insecurities. There is a saying that says, “When you don’t know your worth then people will get you at a discount.” Living life under the microscope of insecurity will have you living in prison with no bars. It is the feeling of being locked in a room with open doors, that is living life under the MICROSCOPE OF INSECURITY.

However, the good news is that God has an answer that brings SECURITY TO THE INSECURE. Jude writes, “Now to Him…” God’s answer that brings security to our insecurity is when we transition from our focus FROM THEM TO HIM.

Prior to vs. 24, Jude spends the majority of his one chapter book talking about false teachers, the immoral, the deceivers, Cain-like spirits, etc. All of these individuals were making their way in the church that raised the level of fear and brought about insecurity but Jude closes on NOW UNTO HIM! This suggests to us that in order to move from being insecure to secure is to focus more on HIM AND make it less about them.
Jude 24 and 25 speaks of the doxology or the blessing and many miss the blessing because their focus is more about them and less on HIM. ALWAYS REMEMBER, LOOKING TO HIM will dismiss “THEM!” It is knowing God that brings us SECURITY THAT LEADS US TO OUR DESTINY and dismisses our insecurities!

Note: Part 2 of this message will be preached on this coming Sunday! Learn more about God’s Security in light of our Insecurities. Don’t allow insecurity to keep us from our DESTINY!
