GOD’S LIFE ASSURANCE
[HEART-PART III]
37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:37-39 New King James Version
As we continue to try to manage life in the midst of a Government shutdown, God has given me a Word to encourage our hearts. Our intention is to encourage our hearts with reminding us of God’s Heart that gives us an assurance during times of difficulty.
One of the points to consider in this sermon that, God’s heart is shown by way of survival in situations.
• 34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
When it comes to this shutdown, it is not separating us from the LOVE OF GOD. In other words, this shutdown has not shut us out from God’s HEART! Paul goes through a series of situations that could possibly separate us but didn’t. When considering this shutdown, there have been times in the past that were problematic but thank God for being a “present help” in the time of trouble. His heart is for us and will continue to take care of us.
Always remember, GOD DIDN’T BRING US THIS FAR TO LEAVE US! HE PROMISED US, NEVER TO LEAVE NOR FORSAKE US. During times like these, we need to STAND ON HIS PROMISES AND NOT JUST SIT ON THE PREMISES. This shutdown has not shut us out from the HEART OF GOD WHO LOVES US.
