Dealing With The Unexpected
Matthew 13 v. 24-26
24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: 25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. 26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
Life is full of unexpected events. Things can change from good to bad within a very short span of time. We need to find a way to be less affected by them.
Our scripture says that when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit then appeared the tares also. It just appeared, seemingly from nowhere – unexpected. We know from the text that the enemy sowed the seed while they were sleeping. Understand they didn’t see it coming. They were expecting a good seed and a good harvest and they got it, however there was an unexpected surprise before the harvest.
Notice the time when it happened. Just when you are about to come into your harvest or about to be fruitful in something that God has for you, watch what happens in your life.
The enemy will blind-side you. He wants to tip your halo and knock you off of your rocker. As we go through our unexpected circumstances, we are also growing and learning how we should deal with the unexpected when it happens.
The tares were burned before the harvest which lets us know that God will take care of the unexpected. He will get rid of it. He will not allow the unexpected to overtake us. Keep praying – keep casting your cares to God and keep believing. What God has for you is – for you.
