DRSIMMONSSHARES (LENT MINI MESSAGES) DAY 2,3,4 & 5

Day 2
Planting and Harvesting

Don’t plant a seed a day before you need the fruit. Harvest doesn’t happen in a hurry. Planting speaks to a process that requires our patience!

#Dr.SimmonsShares

9And let us not get tired of doing what is right, for after a while we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t get discouraged and give up.
Gal. 6:9

Day 3

THE PROOF IS IN THE FRUIT!

How do you tell the difference between good trees and bad trees?
How do you tell the difference between good people and bad people?

#Dr.SimmonsShares

18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.
Matthew 7:18-20

Day 4

Prayer not only changes things
BUT PRAYER CAN CHANGE YOUR THINKING ABOUT THINGS!

#Dr.SimmonsShares

7 And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. 8 Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. 9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake.
For when I am weak, then I am strong.
2 Cor. 12:7-10

Day 5

Prayer is not to be used to give God information about your situation. Why? Because God is omniscient [all-knowing]. However, prayer should give God an invitation into your situation!

#Dr.SimmonsShares

9 In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.
10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
Matthew 6:9, 10
